This spice blend was created out of love and to perfection. Dukkah, pronounced "doo kah" is an Egyptian condiment made of herbs, spices, and nuts. The term is an Egyptian Arabic word meaning to crush or pound, which is exactly how this delicious blend is made. Its popularity has spread to other Middle Eastern countries. It is often used as a crust or rub on meat or fish, as a seasoning for vegetables or grains, and as a dip for fresh bread when mixed with olive oil.
There are two types of dukkah for you to choose from: the less expensive style is made with hazelnuts while the more expensive variety is made with pistachio.
